Shop Around the Corner Sock Yarn Club - January 2025

“When you read a book as a child it becomes a part of you like no other reading can and I - I have gotten carried away.”

This year I will be sharing a monthly sock set inspired by The Shop Around the Corner - the little bookstore in one of my all-time favorite movies “You’ve Got Mail”.

We are kicking things off in January with a set inspired by the shop itself. This set will include a 100 gram skein and a 20 gram contrasting mini skein of either Sci-fi Sparkle Sock, Contemporary Sock, or Classic DK yarn inspired by the movie.

75% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon, 5% Gold Stellina
2ply yarn

Classic DK
4ply 245yds/100g
75/25 Superwash Merino/Nylon
Mini is 47yds/20g

Care Instructions: hand wash with gentle wool cleanser, lay flat to dry

Yarnbrary yarns are hand dyed using professional acid dyes. I work hard to capture the colors as true-to-life as possible, but due to the differences in devices, your screen may show the colors a little differently.

Each skein, even in the same colorway, is slightly different. If your project requires more than one skein, you may want to alternate skeins to get a more uniform look.

Yarnbrary yarns are all rinsed well to make sure the water runs clear. But despite that, there is the possibility of bleeding during the first few washes.
