Mix and Match March Girls Socks

Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy are the best of friends, and sometimes the worst of enemies. They love and learn and play and grow together in a bond that only sisters can truly understand.
Under the gentle and wise guidance of their Marmee, they become the women they are meant to be.

My hope for you, as you knit these socks, is that you will feel a special bond with those you hold most dear, just the way the March sisters always did for each other.

This pattern includes four different cuffs and four different all-over stitch patterns, each inspired by one of the March girls, to give you the most options possible. Stitch patterns are both charted and written. Choose your cuff, choose your stitch
pattern, and away you go!

Sizing
Circumference: 7 (8, 9) in unstretched
Leg length: 6 inches.
Foot length (heel to toe) 9 inches. This is easily adjusted for any length of foot.
Best fitting with .5” – 1” negative ease.
This pattern is for three sizes in. It can be changed up or down further by adjusting needle size.
Change of size will affect amount of yarn needed.
Size: S (M, L)

Materials and Gauge
Yarn: 80-100 grams of fingering weight yarn. Samples shown in Yarnbrary Contemporary Sock. Meg - MC: Bronte, CC: Gaskell. Jo - Humperdink Sock Set. Beth - MC: Twain, CC: Bronte. Amy - Handsome Enough to Tempt Me Sock Set.
Needles: US size 1 needles (2.25 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge. If working in magic loop, use needles with 32in/80cm or 40in/100 cm cable.
3 ring stitch markers.
Darning needle for weaving in ends.
Gauge: 9 stitches per inch/2.5 cm in
stockinette.
