It's hard to write this post because there is a part of me that keeps hoping if I just ignore it, it'll resolve itself. But that isn't the case.
I've been dealing with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for about 8 years. For the first two years things were really bad. But then I gradually was able to get to the point where I could pace myself and keep doing all the things that I love and am passionate about. Last month, that all came crashing down when I took a dramatic turn for the worse.
I won't detail the symptoms and struggles here but if you would like more information about what Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is, please visit this link to read about it's life-altering effects.
Due to these issues with my health, I am not currently dyeing yarn. I have high hopes that I will return again and I am NOT considering my shop closed. It's just temporarily on hiatus. The tricky thing is that I do not know how long that hiatus will need to be.
I've spent three straight weeks in bed and I'm only marginally better. That means that I can know sit upright in my recliner for a good portion of the day and knit, rather than being completely immobilized and laying flat around the clock. But I'm not to a point where I can do household tasks or blow dry my hair or drive, let alone work.
For now, there will be no new yarn in the shop, though I hope to possibly list some single skeins, sample skeins, one of a kind skeins, and maybe even destash (as my kids are available to help me).
All of my patterns remain available.
I will update this blog and post on Instagram when this status changes.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience and support.
Sincerely,
Emily
